Breaking news for this week:
Carolling
We went Carolling Contacting with the Assistants and with the Aviatiei Sisters on Tuesday. It was freezing! But a ton of people kept stopping to take pictures and we were taking turns contacting and inviting people to our Christmas Concert. It was super fun :)
Christmas TREE!!! |
On Wednesday we went to Constanta on exchanges! I went with Sora Stewart! She's awesome! We had a wonderful lesson with Andreea, and with the Olteanu family. I found Anastasia dubbed in Romanian, aaaand to top it all off at the end of the night we went carolling in centru and there was nobody there! :D We laughed at ourselves as we stood shivering and singing to the 1 or two people walking awkwardly by. But... little miracle, one lady did stop to talk to us and she thought we were great. "Do you want money?" she asked me.
"No thanks!" I replied.
"Then why are you doing this?"
"For joy!" I said.
"Bless you!" she said and then she hugged and kissed me on the cheek and told me we were angels. It was great! We ended up getting her phone number and the Constanta sisters will hopefully be meeting with her this week :)
Christmas Concert
On Saturday we, ( the Bucharest missionaries), put on a Christmas Concert. There were 26 missionaries there. We'd rehearsed a couple times and had some sweet harmonies going on. Elder Knapp, has the voice of an angel, and sang O Holy Night. President Hill was rumoured to be singing "If I were a Rich Man" but he hadn't been at the rehearsals so we didn't know what was happening. Then the concert began and in walks our mission president in a giant fake beard, hat, and little broom. He performed spectacularly! The whole audience loved it! I'm sooooo blessed to have President Hill. He's hilarious!
